Hi C9 Members + Friends!

We’re in the heart of summer, and I hope you’ve been spending time outside and connecting with friends and family. We were just up north at the cabin, and although it was a scorcher towards the end of the week (95 and no air conditioning, folks!), we had an amazing time out on the water and wandering the north woods. Now it’s back to tending the garden and tackling projects on the hobby farm.

Many of our Coalition9 groups are taking advantage of the season by moving their monthly meetings outdoors. I’ve been seeing lakes, rivers, and cabins popping up on group schedules—and I love it!

The full C9 Community also has some great chances to come together outside this summer. For our C9 Well Walk + Talk on July 31, we’ll explore the Westwood Nature Center in St. Louis Park. It’s a chance to sneak in a little exercise, enjoy nature, and meet fellow Members.

Then, on August 20, we’ll head to CHS Field for our C9 Summer Social—an evening of baseball, food, drinks, and relationship building. We’ve opened up Event Partner and Supporter opportunities for the August gathering, so let me know if you're interested in being part of that. More details are below.

Looking ahead, we’re starting a new C9 group in September and have a handful of openings in current groups. If you and I have had a conversation about becoming a Member, let’s reconnect this summer to find the right group for you.

C9 Community Supporter Bauer Design Build announced that they were a finalist for the Minnesota Family Business Awards! Twin Cities Business Magazine will honor the outstanding achievements and lasting impact of family-owned businesses across our state at an awards dinner on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at the Nicollet Island Pavilion, and in the Aug/Sep issue of the magazine. Businesses were selected based upon strong records of success, family involvement, community service and philanthropy, a multi-generational culture, and a positive family business structure. Sales training delivers—every $1 invested returns $29 in incremental revenues! In October, Community Supporter Sales Homie is (re)launching The Sales Squad, a monthly peer group for 10–12 sales pros focused on skill-building, networking, and mentorship. Joy Collaborative is growing! As they add staff and complexity, they’re looking for someone who can make sure they are in a good place financially. The ideal candidate should be comfortable with financial reports and forecasting. Member Mark Ostrom and Joy Collaborative are asking the C9 Community to help connect them with someone who aligns with their mission and can make sure they are being good stewards of their funding. July C9 Well Event

Come together with other C9ers to enjoy a summer morning in nature in St. Louis Park—all while building some new relationships.

We'll meet near The Interpretive Center, then break off into small groups for some walking, talking, and making new friends. Take a self-guided tour of this beautiful 160-acre natural area featuring marsh, woods, and restored prairie as you enjoy the benefits of some light physical exercise.

Walking and talking can have many benefits, including improving mental health, boosting creativity, and improving digestion.

We might even make friends with some local critters—the nature preserve is home to many animals, including deer, turtles, foxes, mink, and owls.

August C9 SPARK Event - C9 Summer Social at CHS Field

CHS Field in St. Paul

Back by popular demand—the C9 Community is going to a St. Paul Saints game for our 2025 C9 Summer Social!

We have reserved the Treasure Island Terrace at CHS Field, which is a private space dedicated to the C9 Community for enjoying hosted food + beverages, baseball, and building relationships with other C9ers and guests.

The game starts at 7:07 PM, but join us starting at 5:30 PM for a meal and good company. This is a C9 Member + 1 guest event. 21+

The first 100 attendees will receive a Community Supporter Gift Bag!

REGISTRATION DEADLINE: Wednesday, August 13, 2025 at 12 PM

This event sells out every year, so register early! Limited to 200 attendees.
