What is your superpower?

I am a fixer or builder. I use structure, systems, and processes to transform chaos into order or build sustainable operations.

Where were you born and raised?

Born in Coon Rapids. I was raised in Brooklyn Park, moved to Forest Lake at age 16 and graduated from Forest Lake High School.

What was your first job?

At 13, I cleaned a machine shop weekly at a company where my dad worked.

What city are you currently based in and why do you love it?

Victoria. It's a great location close to everything including the Landscape Arboretum, which we walk to often.

How do you typically introduce yourself to new people?

I most often meet new people at networking events, so I prefer to just give my name and ask something about them. I don't like to talk to about myself unless someone asks.

What’s one thing you wish more people knew about you?

I am a high achiever, yet adaptable, and love to collaborate.

What’s one character trait that makes every leader better?

Emotional Intelligence. Being able to read and respond to others' emotional state. I am still working on this!

What do you think is the best part of being on the C9 Team?

It's helping a community of leaders to understand they are not on an island with the everyday challenges or successes they experience. I am looking forward to creating an open, safe, supporting environment to grow and learn.

What interests and hobbies do you have outside of your professional life?

My wife and I enjoy walks, boating, travel, wine tasting, and a good home improvement project!

Who is one of your mentors and why?

A former manager from 21 years ago who was a successful business coach. I have always admired his ability to balance calm and thoughtfulness with drive and achievement!
